Toddlers will play-with us or without us. It is our role to enhance the play when it is supportive and to intervene or change the situation if it appears too difficult and exceeds their abilities. Toddlers ca not see things or understand things "from another person has point of view". They are busy establishing their autonomy. Keep these in mind when you are planning your activities and your days with your two year olds will flow and be rewarding for them and for you.
You can find worksheets for a wide range of courses--almost any course you want to teach your children. These include spelling, writing, English, history, math, music, geography, and others. They are also available for nearly all grade levels. There are printable middle school, high school, elementary school, and even pre-school worksheets. There are other sources for worksheets also. You can find many public schools and private schools which will provide free worksheets for you if you buy textbooks from the school. Or you can usually find textbooks and workbooks at the public library, where you can also copy any worksheets that you want to use. So what kinds of worksheets should you get? Anything where you feel that your child needs further drill. We often have this notion that worksheets are just for math. This, of course, is not true. While they are excellent tools for reviewing math facts such as the multiplication tables and division facts, they are just as useful for reviewing parts of speech or the states in the union.
When you are teaching your student to write, there are a whole host of worksheets online that you can use. Many of these include clipart that will help the students learn the sounds of letters and letter combinations. There are other sheets that help the student learn to write his or her numbers. Itis helpful having printable worksheets for something like this, because parents often go through quite a few of these before the child masters writing the numbers or letters correctly.
Letter tracing: This is where you have a dotted line spelling out a word, with the picture next to the word, and the goal of the exercise is for students to practice writing while improving their phonetic skills. For instance, they might trace out the words for bat, ball, and basket. This is a really good, straightforward activity. Connect The Letter To The Correct Sound/Word: These are activities where you draw a line between a letter and the picture items that start with that letter. For instance, you had draw a line from the letter A to the word "Apple" and the letter L to the word "Lemon". This activity is good, but takes a lot of monitoring to make sure that students are correctly connecting the letters. It is best as a homework activity, where parents can help to make sure their children are correctly connecting the letters to the words.
Let me briefly discuss with you the importance of using correct English grammar in all your writing problems. By using good grammar you can make any of your English writing appealing to your readers. Many children are being left behind due to lack of math skills. Schools today seem to do a poor job of preparing students for math at the middle and high school level. Here are 5 tips that parents can use to help their child be successful at math. Start early. Before your child goes to preschool, they need to be familiar with small numbers, up to 10. Two is easy to teach and point out. Pair of socks, shoes, etc. Five fingers on a hand and toes on feet. Ten total fingers and toes. At the preschool level, start counting up to 20. Add small numbers, 1 plus 1 is 2. 2 plus 1 is 3. You can even begin the fraction of one half. Half a sandwich, and other food items are a great start. When finishing kindergarten, your child needs to be able to count past 20 and know what larger numbers mean as well. Not working with them, just be familiar.
