Privacy nook. My second daughter loved this place. Silk drapes are hung to enclose a space about four feet square, perfect for just sitting quietly when that is what you need. No more than two children are allowed in the privacy nook at a time. My daughter loved to come here and sit and sing to herself -- and whoever joined her in the nook. Craft time. Children do crafts, not worksheets. They learn the specialty of Waldorf painting: the wet-on-wet method, which encourages experimentation with mixes of color. They also learn sewing, felting, and gnome-making. Free play. Allowing the children to play freely lets them develop themselves as they will. Importantly, while the children play, the adults do not do paperwork; they do tangible work which the children can safely participate in or mimic: washing dishes, ironing, polishing apples, oiling wood, baking bread. The point is to create an environment where the children can feel safe, but not central. It is not healthy for the children to feel like the adults have nothing better to do than dote on them.
There are also worksheets that teach how to read. It includes the basic sounds each letter produce. Kids try to read the words displayed before them. By taking a Udemy course, the learner builds vocabulary specific to a field of expertise. Another excellent site is The Great Courses, a site where one can purchase a digital course by Great Professors and stream it in an online, digital locker. The Great Courses site provides rather long English courses with a broad range of topics, especially in literature and philosophy. Otherwise, an advanced English -language-learner might supplement his or her studies with excellent lectures given at TED.com or by free courses offered through universities at Coursera website.
Subtraction worksheets help a child learn the skills required for subtraction. There are various levels of subtraction worksheets available which match the skill levels of different children. Creating worksheets for children involves creativity to make it look like a fun thing to do and at the same it should serve its educational purposes. There are many websites which have free subtraction worksheets available which you can download or print for free. Choose a worksheet that has problems suited to the child or children you want it for.
This sounds like an awful lot, does not it! A good set of preschool worksheets should cover all of this, and more. In the preschool years, repetition is the key to learning, but you should look for worksheets that teach the same skills in a variety of ways. This not only prevents boredom setting in, but also reinforces the concepts by encouraging understanding as well. The importance of reading to your child cannot be emphasized enough, and you should encourage them to read as much as possible too.
What you can do to make working on printable worksheets more enjoyable for your child may often depend on the age and interests of the child. For example, older children may have to read a poem which is on the sheet and then write their own poem in the same sort of style. If they have been used to playing word games while growing up this should not be a problem, you just have to find a way of making the doing of it attractive. One thing that they might enjoy is if you put on a favourite cd and get them to see if they can use some of the main phrases from that in a different way, i.e. in the style of the poem. Depending on your child has age and concentration span there are plenty of fun ways to get them working on printable worksheets.
There are many opportunities to teach your child how to count. You probably already have books with numbers and pictures, and you can count things with your child all the time. There are counting games and blocks with numbers on them, wall charts and a wide variety of tools to help you teach your child the basic principles of math. Mathematics worksheets can help you take that initial learning further to introduce the basic principles of math to your child, at a stage in their lives where they are eager to learn and able to absorb new information quickly and easily.
